Analytical thinking is the ability and ability to solve a problem. It is a reasonable and reflective thought aimed at deciding what to do or what to believe.<\/p>\n

A distinctive feature of this type of thinking is that it divides the object of study into smaller parts, which are identified, classified and analyzed separately, to obtain an answer or solution, to copy it or to apply it as a whole.<\/p>\n

Analytical thinking is based on evidence, not emotions. It is detailed and methodical. Develops the ability to research and organize thoughts accurately and clearly. Breaks down parts of a problem to understand the structure of the problem and how they relate to each other, distinguishing the appropriate from the insignificant.<\/p>\n

Three features of analytical thinking<\/strong><\/h4>\n

1.- It is analytical<\/p>\n

Analytical thinking is concerned with more elements than relationships, breaking down parts of the whole to analyze the meaning of each.<\/p>\n

2.- It is consistent<\/p>\n

Follow the steps for analysis. It learns each part linearly without leaps or changes and increases it until a solution is reached.<\/p>\n

3.- It is crucial<\/p>\n

He is always focused on finding a solution. Either to solve the problem or to decide.<\/p>\n

Basic functions of analytical thinking<\/strong><\/h4>\n

This concept has many functions, although it is widely used in schools, in the organizational world we require it mainly for the following functions:<\/p>\n

Solve problems<\/p>\n

This allows us to rethink or reshape the problem. Formulate hypotheses. Based on the evidence, evaluate the possible causes and their consequences and create work lines to solve the problems.<\/p>\n

Don’t decide<\/p>\n

Provides logical criteria for collecting information. It facilitates the analysis of the current situation (diagnosis) and the decision about the possibilities and their effects.<\/p>\n

Raise awareness of cognitive processes<\/p>\n

It allows the development of logical thinking skills, such as: regular thinking, reasoning, analyzing, comparing, synthesizing, copying, drawing conclusions, and constructing. In other words, it gives us everything we need to learn.<\/p>\n

Skills and analytical thinking model<\/p>\n

Based on the competency model that is typically incorporated into companies and organizations to optimize management, analytical thinking skills are typically used in professional and technical positions that require problem solving and decision making.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

People working in continuous improvement, quality assurance, strategic analysis, planning, innovation management, process optimization, project management, procurement and other positions must have analytical thinking skills to best perform their functions.<\/p>\n
